Access denied

PLEASE NOTE: The two most likely reasons that access was denied are:

  1. You typed your codes incorrectly
  2. Your membership has expired
Please follow the steps below to determine why access was denied. You can probably solve the problem yourself faster than can the slowpokes at TI.

Step 1: Make sure that you're typing your username and password correctly.

Both the username and password are cAsE-sensitive. You must type them EXACTLY as you did when you joined or last changed them.

Please DO NOT put a space before or after the codes. To check for an extra space in your password, count the number of stars in the password field.

To have your username and password emailed to you at the address we have for you, type your email address in the blank below and then click the Email password button.

Step 2: Make sure that your membership is paid up.

Go to the Member Center, log in and check the status of your membership.

Step 3: Check to see if your password was changed by our access monitor.

Our system monitors inside accesses daily, and it automatically changes a password that has been used to access the inside pages of TI through three or more different IP networks. When it does change your password, it sends the new password to the email address we had for you.

To have your username and password emailed to you, use the form in Step 1 above.

Step 4: Check your browser

Try another browser. If you don't have a second browser, you can download one free of charge. You might try Netscape or Firefox. There will likely be other times that you'll find it helpful to have a second browser available.

If you're able to get access via another browser, then you know that either you mistyped your codes in the first browser or that first browser is confused. You might try to clear all username and password information that the first browser has saved. If that browser is Internet Explorer (it most likely is): Click Tools, Internet Options, Content tab, AutoComplete, Clear Passwords.

Step 5: When all else fails

If you haven't followed the preceding steps, please do so before emailing us. It would be extraordinarily rare for our server to have made a mistake.

Email TI. Please include your TI username or your real name.
